When our Kaitaia client approached us, their vision was clear: they wanted an outdoor room that felt like an extension of their home—offering protection from the elements while maintaining privacy from neighbors. The solution? A sleek, modern pergola with a glazed roof and fully retractable Ziptrak blinds.

The team executed this design flawlessly, integrating a new denim blue glazed roof that complements the home’s aesthetic. The Ziptrak retractable blinds, complete with full pelmets, allow the space to be effortlessly transformed. Open them up to enjoy fresh air and outdoor views, or close them within seconds for complete privacy and weather protection.

For the roof, we selected tinted glazing panels that block 100% of UVA and UVB rays, reducing heat by 40% while still maintaining an open, airy feel. This allows the client to enjoy stargazing at night or bask in natural sunlight during the day without excessive heat build-up.

Custom side infill panels completed the look, providing additional shelter while enhancing the room’s overall aesthetic. The result? A beautiful, functional outdoor living space that truly brings the indoors outside.
