Extending a Tiny Home’s Living Space with Ziptrak Blinds in Parua Bay

Tucked into the rolling hills of rural Parua Bay, this clever little home was already full of charm—but with Northland’s sun and sea breezes, it needed a way to make better use of its outdoor space year-round.

That’s where our team came in. Working closely with the homeowner and their builder, we supplied and installed three Ziptrak outdoor blinds, each an impressive 3 metres wide by 2.3 metres high, perfectly sized to enclose the front verandah and create a sheltered, usable space no matter the weather. The mesh colour chosen—Pebble Stone—keeps things light and breezy while offering privacy and UV protection, and the black powder-coated components tie in cleanly with the home’s existing structure.

Because the blinds arrived earlier than expected (we’re quick like that!), our team held them in storage until the pergola construction wrapped up—timing everything so the install could happen right on schedule. The result? A smooth, efficient install that added serious function and flair to this compact home.
